The aerosol: electronic device for adults and children

The aerosol is an electronic device, easy to use which, thanks to the insertion of medicines prescribed by the pediatrician, releases a beneficial vapor which is inhaled through a mask. Thanks to its effectiveness, it has always been the most used device to initiate a drainage therapy of the respiratory tract and to relieve the sensation of dryness produced by an intense cough and to thin out all the concentrated mucus, which is very difficult to expel.

What types exist?

The most widespread aerosol is the piston or compressed air one, equipped with a compressor that generates air which ends up in a vial containing the medicine. Everything is transformed into small droplets that go up through a tube up to the respiratory tract.

Instead, the ultrasound aerosol uses a technology capable of nebulizing the drug through an ultrasonic frequency vibration. Before buying this model it is better to get well informed because it does not allow the nebulization of all types of medicines. This is because it generates heat during nebulization which could reduce the effectiveness of the drug. The advice to be given to all mothers is to opt for the ultrasonic one because it is much quieter and nebulization takes place in a short time because its power is high.
